Since Thanksgiving is approaching, I wanted to share with you my favorite vegetarian gravy recipe. It's quick and easy to make and delicious too!
Here are the basics:
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. nutritional yeast (from the health food store)
1/3 c. oil
1 1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. Tamari
salt & pepper
Toast the yeast and flour until you can smell it. |
Add the oil. |
Cook and stir till bubbly. |
Add the water and Tamari. Whisk. |
If it's too thick, you can add a little more water. |
I LOVE IT. Tastes like chicken (gravy).
